Everyone has a routine. But there are those that help us move forward, and then there are the ones that make us wish it was bedtime already.
Have you ever watched Tony Robbins' morning routine on YouTube?
As someone who used to say I'm not a morning person, I had to take a second look at the quality of my day, week and overall life and compare it to his. Once I could no longer deny the truth, I decided to give it a shot. But I'm speaking of a loooooong shot. I went to work for the guy. And I can tell you that if you want to play with the best of the best, you better get your morning routine right.
And here's why.
Once everyone in your home is up so is your time. But if you want time for yourself, to read, meditate, journal, plan, you better get on it first thing in the morning.
Let me tell you something about the super successful; they're not martyrs. They understand and own the concept of you can't give what you don't have. And because they know that whatever they want in life is completely up to them, they must fill their cup first so that they can go out there and serve their families, clients and communities.
So, time for yourself is non-negotiable. And routine morning time is the best time to do that.
"A disciplined mind brings happiness." - the Buddha
The successful people, specifically entrepreneurs in my clients' cases, have the results that they have because they live a disciplined life. While at first it may appear boring -which is when most people quit- they eventually begin to reap the results of that seemingly boring practice. The truth is, you're always reaping the results of any practice.
Practice chaos. The result is a chaotic life. Practice love. You have a love filled circle. Practice cleanliness. You create a clean environment.
Imagine this; you have a solid morning routine that you follow no matter what time you go to bed, what time zone you're in or how you're feeling. You do your very best (which can vary) and you grow pretty damn proud of it.
What do you think happens to your confidence?
Who do you think you can rely on when you need help?
Who is confident enough to solve any problem that they're facing?
That's right!
That's exactly how those who enter the space and immediately own it feel every day.
They are rewarded for their routine.
And they continue to practice it so that they can get even greater rewards.
If this was convincing enough to get you to re-evaluate your morning routine, then I can't wait to see what you create out there. And if you need help jump starting it, I have the best NOT a journal book that I created for those who cannot stand filling in blank pages of traditional journals.
Oh, and one more thing. Don't be too rigid. Make it fun and playful, and let me know if you want me to share my routine with you.
'til next time,
Alma
